Erwin Lutzer Biography
Erwin Lutzer is an American evangelical Christian Speaker, radio broadcaster, and author who is famous as the former senior pastor of The Moody Church in Chicago, Illinois (1980-2016).
On November 10, 2018, Lutzer’s television production won three regional Emmy Awards. His production was on A Call for Freedom where he traced the Protestant Reformation from the time of Martin Luther to the shot on location in Germany.
Erwin was born and raised in Saskatchewan, Canada, and later became a born-again Christian when he was 14 years of age.
He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Education from Winnipeg Bible Institute (now Providence University College and Theological Seminary) in 1962.
From 1971 to 1977, he was the lead pastor of Edgewater Baptist Church in Chicago.
